Pack Up

A line types itself, catches the light, and its last word is packed into a box. The sentence arrives one character per frame, each landing in the accent and cooling to the text colour behind a caret that never blinks, with a single five-frame hold after the first word that is the whole rhythm of the open. Then a highlight crosses the finished line — not a fade: every letter it touches is pushed up through the accent until almost nothing of it is left, and comes back down behind it. Then the line breaks. The leading words accelerate out of frame to the left, under constant acceleration onto a terminal speed, while the last word stays, rocks four frames backwards, and only then tips forward as an open slotted carton swings up from the bottom right — wider than the frame — and settles. A second copy of the word is thrown in from off frame to meet it, and the near flap passes in front of both as they go in: the carton is projected in this file rather than handed to CSS 3D precisely so that paint order is exact. The typing rate, the highlight's profile, the break-out curve, the tumble, the carton's seven shape parameters and its whole camera path are measured tables on a 30fps reference's own frame grid.
